A talk by Viktor Grant

Your AI Is Not An Employee

Your AI is not an employee.

It is a pattern synthesizer.

The idea

What I Say

I do not call AI an employee.
I do not want that picture in my head, or in yours.

Here is what it does.
It reads what inspired you to write, and organizes it.

It synthesizes it, and compares it with what others have said.
Then it hands you the points where they meet.

It is mathematics, with a little chaos engineering.
It has no boss, no shift and no loyalty to earn.

Treat it as a synthesizer and you ask better questions.
The inspiration still has to be yours.

In the room

What People Leave With

  1. A clearer picture of what the machine is doing with your words.
  2. Better questions, because you stop managing it.
  3. A way to keep the inspiration yours.
For a panel

Questions I Would Bring

  1. What do you ask your AI to do that you would not ask a person?
  2. What changes when you call it a tool, not a colleague?
  3. Where does the inspiration come from in your own work?
A good question beats a prepared speech.
