Build a network that outlives the builder.

Think in decades, not quarters.

What I Say

Every member has a username.
It is a node, and so is everyone you connect with.

Your username stays yours until you change it.
Then someone else can claim it.

If you do not like who claimed it, message them.
Either of you can break the connection, any time.

A network that lasts is easy to join, easy to leave,
and fair to everyone in it.

In the room

What People Leave With

  1. A way to see your own network as nodes, not followers.
  2. Three rules that keep a community fair for decades.
  3. One connection to make, and one to let go.
For a panel

Questions I Would Bring

  1. What does your network look like in ten years?
  2. Who can leave it, and how easily?
  3. What rule would you want written down now?
A good question beats a prepared speech.
