Fixing The Internet
One Website At A Time.

This is the line under the search box on our homepage.
Here is the story behind it, and why it matters to you.

Three AIs, one lesson, and a partnership
that does more than either side alone.

Viktor Grant. Written with AI, disclosed here, as the method requires.

Read the story

One. Where I started

I Started Where Most People Did

I started with ChatGPT, like most people.
I used it every day, and I wanted it to work.

Then the work got real, and four things wore me down.
None of them is a flaw in one company. They come with a chat window.

1

It forgot yesterday

Every morning it greeted me like a stranger.
The decisions we made the day before were gone.

2

Short questions, average answers

A short question lands in the middle of everything ever written.
The middle is average.

3

My thinking, donated

What I typed could help train a model for everyone.
My best ideas were becoming someone else's product.

4

A tab and a bill for each AI

One window per tool, one subscription per tool.
My work was scattered across all of them.

I did not quit AI. I quit chatting with it.
That became my book, AI Assembly Language: stop chatting, start building.

Two. The discovery

Then I Found X,
And Learned No One AI Does Everything

X became the deep research engine behind Earthgrid.ai.
It writes the first drafts of business plans.

That taught me the real lesson.
The question is never which AI is best.

The question is which AI is best
for this one small piece of the work.

So Earthgrid stopped picking a winner.
Earthgrid.ai holds 87 models from 7 vendors, and we buy from all of them.

One model thinks. Another one writes the finished page.
Each does the part it is good at.

Three. Now

Then Claude.
It Keeps Up With How I Work.

Claude takes my dictation
and builds what I describe.

Much of what it does is not artificial intelligence at all.
It is computer assisted human intelligence. Mine.

I talk. It reads the rules I wrote down in files.
It writes the page, tests it, and shows me before anything ships.

Claude became my remote control.

Through the Earthgrid APIs and developer kits,
it is now a remote control for Earthgrid itself.

Our homepage was rebuilt that way, in one day.
So was this page.

Four. Why the two together

More Than Earthgrid.
More Than Claude.

Buckminster Fuller called it synergy:
the whole does what none of the parts can do alone.

That is what happens when Claude and Earthgrid work as one.
Each covers what the other lacks.

Claude

What Claude brings

It reaches files and folders, and builds on real machines.
It turns a spoken idea into a working page.

Earthgrid

What Earthgrid brings

It splits work into small pieces and runs the right model on each.
It holds the members, the data, the credits and the guardrails.

Together

What neither does alone

A person who stays in charge, with a builder and a network behind them.
Work that stays yours, and people who can reach you.

Claude alone has no network of members behind it.
Earthgrid alone cannot reach your files or build on your machine.

Together, one person with an idea can build it,
publish it, and reach the people it is for.

Five. The part nobody can copy

We Model The Relationship,
Not The Person

Most AI reads one person at a time.
Earthgrid reads the connection between two people.

You do not write to your banker the way you write to your brother.
Every pair of people has its own wavelength.

Earthgrid Wavelength reads the words of both people in a pair.
Then it helps you write the way that person reads.

Code can be copied.

A network of real connections cannot.
Earthgrid has been built on connections since 1996.

In 2004 our members reached each other through the connection,
not through an address. If someone moved, nothing broke.

Today more than 102,000 members are on the grid.
A copy of our software would start with none of them.

That is why Claude needs Earthgrid.
Claude can build what you describe. It cannot build thirty years of trust.

Six. Why this matters to you

This Is Not The Internet
We Were Promised

Traffic to websites is drying up.
Email often does not reach the person it was written for.

More and more answers come from a machine,
and the website behind the answer never gets the visit.

This is not the internet.

The people who built the web designed it for people.
The standards bodies, the World Wide Web Consortium, Stewart Brand and his community.

Earthgrid began in 1996 as a directory of member websites.
A person chose what was listed, not a spider.

I could game the spiders back then, so I know what they cost.
Earthgrid is not a search engine. It is a find engine.

Fixing the internet one website at a time

means your website, said clearly enough
that people and machines both understand what you do.

Seven. What it looks like in practice

One Website At A Time

  1. We read your site the way a machine does.
Its title, its description, and the schema that tells AI what you are.
  2. You see what is missing, in plain words.
Many sites carry only a breadcrumb schema, which says almost nothing.
  3. If you want help, a person picks it up.
Earthgrid and Claude draft what your site should say. You approve every word.
  4. Your site joins the grid.
Earthgrid search shows what is on the grid first. The open web is one button away.

The first step is a gift.
The audit is complimentary, and the results page builds itself after you sign in.

Eight. What we stand for

Living Systems, Not Lock In

We are building more than algorithms; we are architecting living systems that honor the complexity of Earth's networks while serving humanity's highest aspirations. earthgrid.ai

You keep your data, your judgment and your reach.
The AI does the work. You stay at the controls.

Earthgrid plus Claude is fixing the internet one website at a time.

Yours can be the next one.

Audit my website Talk to a human A person answers, not a queue.
