Meet people in live chat.
Then keep them.
You have been in a chat with hundreds of people.
It ended, and everyone vanished.
You could not find one of them.
We built the part that was missing.
Your username is who you are here.
You can find people, message them, and stay in touch.
I have sat through many live events and online sessions.
I have taken whole programs on how to connect.
Something was still missing.
At the last AI event, I saved the entire chat transcript.
It was over 500,000 lines. Far too big for any AI to read.
So I built my own AI to read it.
It showed me that out of about 500 people,
I was the most active and the most helpful.
That is what I do. I create connection.
But the rules said no links and no contact info.
When the event ended, you could not find anyone.
It was frustrating.
Then I remembered the chat rooms of the 1990s.
Your username was your identity.
You knew who you were talking to, and friendships grew.
So I built that again, with the part they never had.
You can chat live, like before.
And now you can keep the people you meet.
Earthgrid has had a messenger since 2004.
This is the new one, rebuilt in 2026.

Walk into live chat.
Say hello. Somebody answers.
Click a name. Write a subject
and one line about why.
When they reply, the whole
conversation opens in Messages.
Nobody can fill your inbox with strangers.
The first message is a request, and you decide.
If you decline, the sender only sees “waiting”.
Drop in anytime. There are no schedules.
Rooms are open unless they list hours.
A closed room shows when it opens next.
Private, one person at a time.
Every subject is its own thread.
One row per person in your list.
Themed rooms with a live head count.
The last 24 hours stay on screen.
Pick a chat name to come in.
Write to someone the way they read.
You edit it before it goes out.
They can tap See original.
How Wavelength works
Open your Wire backup in the browser.
Bring recent chats into Messages.
They are marked as imported.
Free accounts can use all of it except the paid AI tools.
Wavelength spends Earthgrid credits when it writes for you.
Messages and live chat do not.
Need a person on our team?
Use Talk to a human. Only our team reads it.
See all four ways to reach us.
Yes. Every account can use Messages and live chat, Free accounts included.
No. It runs in your browser with your Earthgrid login. There is no new app and no phone number.
No. The first message to someone new is a connection request with a subject and a short intro. Nothing opens until they reply. If they decline, you only see that it is waiting.
Live chat is a room that is open now, with many people. Messages is private, one person at a time. You meet in the room and then keep talking in Messages.
Only the person you send it to. If you use Talk to a human, only our team reads it.
Yes. Import from Wire reads your Wire backup in your browser. Nothing is uploaded until you choose a chat, and then you pick how many recent messages to bring.
That is the question I ask everyone who walks in.
Tell me in the room. I read every answer.
